Insert cliché about California girls being unforgettable...

Being in Los Angeles for the last 5 days was an unforgettable experience! Yes, I'm sure it was unforgettable because of all the firsts I had, but I think it was these women, too.

They are on fire for this sorority, and as someone who jet sets every few days for the Alpha Delt, there's nothing better than working with women who feel that way. I was able to meet with sisters who aren't even officers yet - they just wanted to meet with me to chat about about the sorority & how they can help improve their chapter.

This chapter shares something in common with many chapters across the country: they're at a crossroads. With ΑΔΠ election season in full swing, I find it necessary to remind you we are the first & finest.

Don't settle for being an average chapter. Don't cast a popular vote - cast an educated vote. Think to the future; remember, just because you may not be an officer, what your chapter does during your membership is just as much a part of the legacy you leave as it is anyone else's.

christmas in july

If you know me...

You know I absolutely love Christmas (It's bad - I play & sing Christmas music year round.). Nothing can ever be better than the real Christmas. But, you know what is a close second?

first day in the ATL

I was the very first one to arrive here in HOTlanta, but it did not take long to be surrounded by suitcases, 26 suitcases + 9 purses to be exact. Yep - I know what you're thinking. How in the world did they get all of that to Executive Office? Well, we'll leave out the minor details, but let's just say we made it work (in two cars).

After lugging our suitcases up the stairs & snacking on some peanut M&Ms, we headed to the Training Room to get down to business. What business? See the pic below.

Ah! I'm officially official! Only catch is my phone number is wrong on all of my business cards. No worries though; they'll be fixed.

I have had the best time here at Executive Office so far. The Pi Kappa Phi LCs came for a fun mixer, I've been to a tapas restaurant (It's great - you order a bunch of little appetizers & taste it all!), and learned how to make sock buns! Don't fret though... I'm learning anything & everything ADPi, too. Promise.

and the journey begins

Holy moly. Let me tell you what: I am in ADPi heaven. I arrived at 1386 Ponce today around 2:30 & the frenzy began.

I finally was able to meet all of my consultant sisters & it was love at first sight! I know this sounds so cheesy, but it's so amazing how well we've all connected. I feel as if I've known these women all my life; I guess that's the sisterhood for ya.

Being here at Executive Office & Memorial Headquarters is quite the experience so far. I feel as if I have googly eyes looking around at all of the ADPi history. I cannot wait to live here for three weeks in July! I am one lucky girl, that's for sure. I'm so blessed to have been given this opportunity.

We had our first LC meeting today that started off with a gift from our boss, Annie. She gave us our LC guards for our badges! Don't worry - mine's already on my badge. We also already have an assignment - a presentation on a topic we drew out of a hat! Looks like we're hitting the ground running ASAP.

We have to get up bright & early for training with Mrs. Beth Manle, former Grand President. I can't wait to get started!

PS: I'm figuring out this whole blogging thing from my iPad, so sorry this post is so ugly! I promise it'll get better :)
